Mission grade: B-

Things I did well:

• Approaching: In the right situation/mood I can be very social. I approached many, many women at the party and had great conversations. I was attracted to several of them as well. Bonus.
• Comfort: I was able to talk to these women easily. There was smiling, laughter, etc. Not once did I get a get-away-from-me-you-loser vibe. At one point some girl commented, “you met a lot of people tonight”. My take on that is that she was paying attention to the fact I was making the rounds. Social proof maybe? It was fun.
• Posture and Voice: I was concious of my voice and posture. I still need to work on things but it’s clearly on my radar now.

Areas I need improvement:

• Approaching anytime/anywhere: All of my approaches were in a social situation aided by a bit of alcohol. It was natural. I am still curious to try ask a woman on the street or in a cafe for a menswear store recommendation. I’m going to do that the next chance I get for extra credit.
• Upping the attraction/energy: I think I had a bit too much “nice guy” in me. It wasn’t the point of this mission buy I felt like I got to a point where I’m like, “now what do I do?”. Things were going well, but I never REALLY tried to go for the close/move forward. I didn’t ask for numbers, try move to a quieter part of the house, anything. Do I need to be more aggressive? That is not natural for me.

Additional area of concern:

• Which sex am I attracting? I got hit on most overtly by a dude. This is not my desired outcome. Still a bit flattering though.

Overall, I feel like this was progress. But part of me feels like I could be progressing more quickly. I don’t know what missions are yet to come but I felt like I was in situations where I could have done something but didn’t know what to do. Regardless, I had fun. I am having a blast being Devo and doing these missions. I can’t wait for the next one!
