This was another from my elevator. This time instead of an old man, it’s a young woman, maybe 25 years old. A little heavy for my tastes but whatever, that’s not the point for this mission. She looked friendly and she’s a stranger.
CONVERSATION 4 – Elevator neighbor girl
(6:00 pm in building elevator. Girl using an iPhone with a cracked screen.)
Me: You know, they make those in versions with a solid screen.
Her: (Smirking) Oh really? Didn’t know that.
Me: Yeah, they’re nice. You can read everything clearly.
Her: I’ll have to look into getting one of those.
Me: I just lost my iPhone, this is my second one.
Her: This is actually my fifth.
Me: Wow, Apple must love you.
(She gets off at her floor.)
So that went well. I’m not nervous when I’m not attracted. But it’s not like she was ready to do me in the elevator right then and there anyway. I might be getting ahead of myself. The purpose of this mission is simply to talk to strangers. That’s it. Ok, one more to go…
